[:1]Hey guys, been having this really annoying problem and i dont think hard restarting my mac is good for it....
when i save and exit a game, maybe 1/7 times it will freeze. i have no idea why this is happening... my mac is almost new, just bought about 6 months ago
If this helps:
Model Name: iMac
Model Identifier: iMac9,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 6 MB
Memory: 4 GB
Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz
Boot ROM Version: IM91.008D.B08
SMC Version (system): 1.37f3
But the weird thing is because i play diablo in wondowed mode so i can surf the net and all at the same time, when it locks up everything else is fine except d2 (which is frozen). i cannot restart the comp through the menu as it says must quit d2 and i cannot force quit the frozen d2.
any help is much appreciated .|||Make sure you have the latest software updates from apple (click the apple icon on the top left of your screen and select "software update...") as some older versions of mac os x can be buggy with older games like diablo 2.
Also, when d2 freezes you can try to press command+option+esc to bring a menu with all your currently open programs. Just select d2 from the list and click "force quit" it usually works ok and you can resume your work as normal.
hope that helps!|||thanks for the help mate!
my mac is always updated as soon as new updates come out..... just checked then but am up to date.
i will try the command +option + esc next time.
thanks very much!
