Unable to connect to Battle.net.

How can this be? Never had this kind of error before...

The error says:

"Unable to connect to Battle.net.

If your using a modem, you may need to connect to your internet service provider before connecting to battle.net. For more information visit the website."

What i understand is that diablo2 thinks i don't have any internet connection, which i do have.. Any solution please!

Regards,

Die hard addict waiting for solution.|||something may be blocking ports 4000 or 6112

first try disabling your software firewalls

you can test 6112 using the telnet trick

vista and 7 dont have telnet installed by default

Open control panel.

Then go into programs.

Then in programs and features

Click ‘turn windows features on or off ‘

on the list that appears check the box beside: Telnet Client.

Then click ok.

http://us.blizzard.com/support/artic...rticleId=21139

start -> run (search vista/7) -> cmd [enter]

telnet uswest.battle.net 6112 [enter]

c [case sensitive must be lower]

it will give your internet ip if port 6112 is open

ex.

Code:
 This is a Battle.net server

Your IP address is [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] (this will be your internet ip)

Connection to host lost.

if your connecting from a dorm/shcool/apartment and it fails, talk to a network admin and see if they can open the gaming ports|||I occasionally get this its like a more severe realm down, you might find you can still connect to other realms. An IP reset fixes it for me(unplugging mode for a few seconds).|||I get this sometimes, but I usually wait like 10 mins then it works again.
