how to make d2 widescreen?

I read in the patch notes that wide screen users could now make the game fit their screen without stretching it all too hell. I dl'd the beta and can't find where i can change the video settings. In game it just gives me the same 800x600 option.|||adjust your monitor settings

or use the glide wrapper

enable desktopresolution and keep aspect ratio

what does that glide wrapper do? and is it considered a 3rd party program by blizz?|||yes/no

its a 3rd party app, but not detectable by bnet

iv been using it for years without any accts/keys being banned

it converts glide from d2 to opengl

d2 was written for glide (back in the 3dfx card days), d3d is slow but looks pretty, 2d is fast without any pretty effects

basically the wrapper gives the best preformance with all the pretty effects

glide.dll -> wrapper -> opengl

instead of d3d.dll -> d3d

there are 3rd party apps that can increase the visable area in d2, instead of making it fit your monitor better

but those cant be discussed here|||so glide will make its not as stretched on my screen?|||yup

heres what i play at 1680x1050

never drops below 60fps|||What OS are you using? I tooled around a bit and couldn't get it to work. Likely user error, though. I'm running windows 7 on a 23" monitor in 1600x900 resolution (1920x1080 is just too small) and from what I've sound, I can either run stretched in full screen (ew) or in a window, where I'm constantly clicking outside the game =[|||If it comes up in a window when you first run it then just press Alt Enter and it will go full screen.|||glide wrapper has a setting to capture mouse, which stops you from moving then clicking outside the window (alt+tab still works)

1.13 beta can be stretched to full screen with -w then doubleclick on the title bar

but double/triple pixel doesnt look nearly as pretty as bilinear filtering
