Please Verify That Your Diablo Play Disc Is In Your CD-ROM Drive, Then Click On Retry

Sigh...

So I bought Diablo 2 & lod. Installed it on my laptop which has vista. After a few steps it worked perfectly.

Then I get on my desktop computer which has xp. I install the game, try playing it, and it says that god awful error. After googling for an hour I see that other people have had the problem too, but I didn't find any solution. I installed the patch to lod and still says the same thing. I tried mounting a .iso file instead of putting my cd in, doesn't work.

halp!|||copy the missing mpq files from the cd to your install loction

if that doest work, patch it to 1.12 or later

if it still fails, visit the blizzard store, create an account

register your d2 keys then download and install using the new keys

located under account summary -> d2 and lod

Wow, I downloaded the patch from blizzard's site (I had one already, I guess it wasn't the newest) and now the game works!

Thanks alot!
